These colorful Toilet Paper Roll Flowers are fun and easy to make. All you need to complete this project is a few things from your craft kit and your excess toilet paper rolls.
So let’s get started.
How to Make Toilet Paper Roll Flowers
First, let’s get everything ready so you can leave the little ones to get busy and avoid all those interruptions.
Skill Level – MED
Time Required – 20 minutes
What you will need
- Toilet paper rolls
- Colored paint
- Tissue paper
- Glue / sticky tape
- Wooden skewers
You can make two flowers with 1 toilet paper roll as you will be cutting them in half. Measure and mark half way which is 5cm from the edge. Cut along the line.
Now measure and mark 1cm from 1 of the edges. This is the line where you will cut up to for the flower petals.
Start by cutting up to the line you have just marked. Now every 1cm or so cut up to the line until you have cut all around the toilet roll.
Press the flower petals out and flatten them down. This will make it easier for your child to paint.
Now it’s time to get the paints out. Hold the toilet roll on the part that hasn’t been cut and paint the petals on your Toilet Paper Roll Flowers.
Paint a skewer for each flower you make. This will be used as the stem.
Once the paint has dried cut a small piece of tissue paper approx 25cm x 20cm and scrunch it up so it fits nicely in the center of your flower. Add a little sticky tape at the back so your child doesn’t push the tissue paper through.
One more step to go.
Attach the stem to your Toilet Paper Roll Flowers by piercing a small hole in the paper roll and push through the wooden skewer.
There you have it your own bouquet of flowers.
- Why not get a bunch together for Mothers Day or maybe a special birthday.
- How about gluing these flowers on a card or piece of paper
