Make this Cute Rocking Paper Plate Bunny

If you have some spare paper plates and need a fun craft idea for your kids, why not make this cute Rocking Paper Plate Bunny. It’s a great craft idea for pre-school kids and is always a favorite during Easter.

And although we’ll just show you how to decorate the paper plate on one side, if you take the time to decorate the reverse side too, this paper plate bunny will look awesome from all angles.

Oh, and don’t forget to add the googly eyes, because they look great when this bunny is rocking.

Anyway, let’s get started.

How to Make a Rocking Paper Plate Bunny

Paper Plate BunnyFirst, let’s get everything ready so you can leave the little ones to get busy and avoid all those interruptions.

Skill Level – Easy

Time Required – 15 minutes

What you will need

  • Paper plate
  • White construction card
  • Pipe Cleaner / Chenille stick
  • Pom pom x 2
  • Googly eye
  • Marker
  • Glue

Step 1

First, fold your paper plate in half (if you want your paper plate to pop add a bit more time to your project and paint it first).

Next, cut 3 pieces of pipe cleaner for your bunnies whiskers. This length can vary depending on the size of your plate. Glue on to the top corner.

Once your whiskers have been glued on add a pom pom to sit on the top.  Don’t forget to add a googly eye.

Step 3 - add nose and eye

Cut out 2 bunny ears and color in the inside of 1 of the ears with your marker.

Glue the 2 ears together just overlapping each other. Then glue to the top of the paper plate on the folded side.

All you need to do to finish off your rocking paper plate bunny is add a pom pom for the tail. If you don’t have any pom poms cotton balls also work well.
