Anyway, So let’s get started.
Paper Heart Flower Craft
First, let’s get everything ready so you can leave the little ones to get busy and avoid all those interruptions.
Skill Level – Med
Time Required – 20 minutes
What you will need
- Colored origami paper (6inx 6in)
- Paper clips
- Sticky tape
First, fold the paper in half then open the paper and repeat this step on the other side forming 4 squares (image 1). The fold the paper diagonally forming a triangle then open the paper and repeat this step forming 4 triangles (image 2).
Next, fold the origami paper back up so you have a triangle. Holding the folder side of the triangle make a curved cut from the small triangle point to the fold (image 1). When you open up the first fold you will have a paper heart (image 2).
When the heart is opened up it will form a flower. Next, we need to make a smaller flower for the centre of the flower. Follow step 1 & 2 to fold up your origami paper but this time make your cut in Step 2 slightly below the small triangle. This will make the heart smaller than the first one. Glue together and write your message.
Next, tape a straw to the back of the folded paper heart for your stem.
Then cut out a couple of leaves and glue to the straw.
To hold the paper heart flower together cut and decorate a butterfly or bee and attached to a paper clip. This will hold everything in place until the big reveal.
