How to Make a Paper Plate Noise Maker
First, let’s get everything ready so you can avoid all those interruptions.
What you will need
- 2 x Small paper plates
- Colored crepe paper
- Popsicle stick
- Dry pasta or rice
- Decorations – Stars / glitter / sequins
- Glue gun
The first step is to get the kids to paint two small paper plates in their favorite color.
While the paper plates are drying, cut some strips of crepe paper for the streamers. Glue three or four streamers to each side of one of the plates.
Glue the popsicle stick to the bottom of the paper plate to act as the handle then add some dried pasta or rice to the base of the paper plate.
Glue around the outside of the paper plate and stick the other paper plate on top and press down the edges.
Now for the fun part with decorating the paper plate noise maker. Whatever you have in your craft kit is perfect to use. In this picture, we used some stars to decorate the noise maker but if you have some glitter or sequins a bit of sparkle would also look great.
Once everything has dried and the noise maker has been decorated to suit your kids imagination, it’s time to have some fun and shake it up!
